Spicy Chicken Soup

So the weather has finally cooled down and I am SO happy because that means I can start making soup again! This soup is my absolute favorite one to make. I admit the picture does not look that appetizing but it really is delicious. It's also really easy to make and because most of the ingredients are canned it doesn't make a mess. I originally got the recipe from allrecipes.com but altered it to my liking.  If it's even possible, this soup is so much better as leftovers. The flavors really blend overnight and it's one of my favorite leftover meals.

Raspberry-Cream Cheese Muffins

So I saw this recipe in Cooking Light and have been wanting to try it out for a while. Mine does not look like the picture in the magazine but I think that's because my frozen raspberries had thawed too much and broke into pieces. They were still good though

SUMMER'S ON!

Krista and I have been having "family dinners" since the fall and for two very inexperienced cooks, we've made some amazing meals if I say so myself. Last week we made Grilled Salmon with Sweet Corn & Avocado Salad which we found at Whole Foods. Most of the stuff we make we grilled on my electric grill and is pretty simple and quick. This recipe only takes about 20 minutes.

Oreo Cheesecake Cupcakes

Even though I'm not usually big on cooking desserts, I've been taking after my mom and sister lately and have oddly been craving them. So I stumbled upon this recipe and it combined two of my favorite dessert elements (cheesecake and oreos) so I decided that I had to try it. It turned out really good and I can't stop eating them. I think the website I got it off said that it was originally from Martha Stewart's cupcake book. Anyway, here it is:

Oceanaire- Restaurant Week Boston

So I went to restaurant week for lunch at Oceanaire Seafood Room in the financial district and it was AMAZING. I forgot to take pictures of the appetizers and desserts, but at least I got a picture of the most important and most delicious part of the meal- the stuffed shrimp.

Welcome!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my new blog! I thought that since most of the people I know are obsessed with food, we could all share recipes and/or pictures of our cooking creations. I stumbled upon someone's blog that had really good recipes and pictures of each step. If you're interested, it's here: http://www.kayotic.nl/blog/feta-borek#more-7221. That's where I got this idea. I know it's time consuming to do it so detailed, so anyone who writes on this can do it however they want. Whether it's showing step-by-step pictures with instructions, giving the recipe with pictures of only the final result, or just the recipe, anything would be appreciated. Even if you have a really good experience at a restaurant and happen to have a camera/camera phone on you, you could share that with everyone so they know to try out the restaurant. Let me know if you want to participate in this and I can add you as an author.
